To mirror a Mac to other smart TVs without Apple TV, you will need to get a mirroring app designed to work with that TV brand. For Samsung TVs, get the Samsung SmartThing app from the App Store.

It is all connected up using a HDMI cable and it does not show anything on the TV. With the MacBook I am just trying to use the TV as a projector screen and have tried the settings on Windows. The Apple TV does not show anything and should just connect automatically. It all works OK on another TV . Thanks for your interest and response
